Do you really need a booked itinerary to get a VISA to Brazil?

What if I only have a one-way ticket to Brazil and plan to purchase the return ticket while I'm there?? Will they still give me a VISA?

This will depend on what Nationality you are and what the purpose of your visit to Brazil is.

I assume you are a U.S. citizen, as most others do not require visas.

If that is correct, you will need an itinerary. Also, the entry requirements state that you must have your return travel booked, before entering the country.
