Is this really necessary or can you buy a Cold Air intake system, a SS Crank pulley, a Header, and some fire racing spark plugs and call it a day for a much, much, cheaper price. No need to buy a bigger exhaust the company that furnishes my car has a decent sized exhaust, so know need to buy a bigger one of those. Anyway, are those 3 things basically all I need and really don't need to buy a supercharger kit for maximum power performance for my car?

  1. It will help, but good flowing heads and big cam will give you more power than those el cheepo supercharger kits they sell for street cars.

  2. Well usually allowing cooler and cleaner air to enter the car usually gives your engine a few more horses. But a supercharger kit will give it tons more horses than just a header , spark plugs and the cold air intake system.

  3. supercharge is for quick pick ups..while turbo is for major top speed and torque

  4. A supercharger gives a great bang for the buck, but you don't need one. It just boosts horsepower by a bunch. All those other add-ons won't add up to what a properly installed supercharger will accomplish. You might want to look into nitrous oxide systems. They are fairly cheap and only work when you want them to.

  5. They work. Turbo's work well also.
