Yup.  They have a standing army of 2.3 million people and have boasted that they can immediately draft up to 1 billion people.  They also rival the world's most advanced nations technologically and economically.  They are a superpower right now.  Anyone who doesn't think this is so is misinformed.

They may already be the superpower.  It certainly isn't the US.

China and Russia were and are real superpowers. America is only self-proclaimed superpower and a paper tiger.
