Do you really think bynum and gasol will work together?

why and what makes you think they will? ive watch gasol play for the grizzlies for years, and from what i remember he is more of a low block player than a high post player, and from what ive seen so is bynum.

with them clogging the paint, how would odom have an advantage at the 3?

ive actually thought about this for a while and have come to the conclusion that phil will rotate bynum and gasol more than playing them together which will open up the sf position for 3 point shooters.

whats your take?

  1. People think it will work well because Pau will finally be returning to his natural position.

  2. With Bynum and Gasol lakers need Ron Artest

  3. yes,

i think they would be executing plays as instructed,

bynum is a can play well when healthy and im sure he will not be a luackluster, while gasol is an unselfish player and knows how to play team, odom is a very agile player and surely their transition will be adjusted, those three are big and if size doea come as a matter thaey have an advantage triangle offense can squeeze in them, and one of them can attract double team plus kobe  should be more of a leader not just a scorer and should recognize that he has teammates that can contribute in both offense and defense.

  4. Well sorry if i trust the Lakers coaches over what you think.

    Go Lakers in'09

  5. I think Your right about the rotation. For the first couple of months a See Bynum coming off the bench till he gradually builds his strength and confidence. He will rotate them just like you said one gets tired the other comes in Vice Versa 1and 2 combo. Should be fun....

  6. UMMMM...YES!!!! He's Why They Didnt Win This Year!!!!

Having Bynum Not Only Adds Rebounding and Inside Scoring That Vladimir Radmonovic Couldn't Deliver, It Allows Gasol and Odom To Play In Their Natural Positions. He Makes LA The Favorites To Win Next Year, In My Opinion.

  7. Yes they will, i hope but not one of them will be averageing over 10 rebounds a game, gasol will average about 18ppg with 8-9 rpg, bynum 10-12ppg,8-9rpg,odom 15-16ppg 5-7 rpg,and kobe is still looking for a repeat at a mvp trophy so you'll be looking at kobe 26ppg 5-6rpg 6-7apg, and you still need d-fish farmar, the machine, walton, ariza to get there good chunkage of points...bottom line lakers will need to get about 110 points per game 50 rebounds pergame 25 assists per game so that all there stats would loook well..

  8. Honestly, I'm not really sold on Bynum.  He looked good in his limited duty last year.  But, he's coming back from a nagging injury which could limit his progress.  I don't think Gasol will have trouble adjusting.  The lane might get clogged at time, but I'm sure Phil has something up his sleeve to make it work.  I might be concerned with Odom having to rely on his suspect jumper playing the 3.

  9. Gasol is a natural power forward and Bynum is a natural center. The triangle offense works best with strong players at the high and low posts, so theoretically they will work perfectly together in Jackson's offense.

  10. heck yes

  11. I think Bynum and Gasol will work fine, because Gasol is a unselfish player and will look to feed Bynum the ball......on the downside their, are not any great passers on that starting 5, Derick Fisher ONLY has 3.2 apg for his career, not to great for a PG...In the past we have had the Showtime Lakers, this new look lakers squad possibly will become the turnover city Lakers

  12. nah

  13. nooo

i think bynum gasol and odom will work together

  14. I'm with you. Bynum will probably come off the bench to give Gasol and Odom rest. Barring injuries, he'll still get big minutes.

  15. No, Bynum is gonna say, "Give me the F****** ball!!" to other people.
