Do you really think people who are in service positions are worth less than you

All my life I have worked in service positions, I am a licensed CNA, I have worked as a sitter for the elderly, I have worked as a server/waitress. How do people really look at someone who doesn't have a college degree or a great job but does the best at what they have?

  1. Not at all.  I look at people for what they are not what job they have.  As long as you are happy that is all that matters.

  2. Depending on the person if i get good service i respect them more than a lot of people because they have to put on a smiling front and give great service i think it's quite an achievement if you can say that you can put up with moody customers and still be smiling. xx

  3. I worked different jobs in my life and I never look down on anybody. I assume they do their job well of course.

  4. What should it matter to you, if you are content in the service you give?   Bloom where you planted yourself!

I have a graduate degree and had a 'private practice' once.  I am now very content to have simplified my life, and work in a "service" capacity.

Judging myself by MY perspective of what others think of me is the biggest waste of my time, and I impossible to live by.
