For example, if a child wanted to be a doctor or singer (any occupation) or even as far as someone repetitively thinking they are not attractive...etc.

Any thoughts and opinions?

  1. Only if one gives that thought all the necessary effort so it would really come true.  Sometimes, even then is not enough as luck good or bad might have a say in the final outcome.

  2. studies have proven that the human mind can persuade itself to chang things about your thought process your mannerisms or even your physical well being, now can looking in a mirror and telling yourself everyday that you are a doctor make you a doctor no but if you look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself that you can do the things neccessary to become a doctor then it is very likely that you can attain to do these things and become a doctor.

  3. Yes. BUT thats a wrong way of thinking.  if he wants to be a doctor than he needs to think what a doctor will do in his life,,, like do homework, get nice grades, learn biology.   the whole idea is THINK and DO

  4. There is a TA story, where a father tells his 3 sons over and over "You'll end up in court!"

One became a policeman one a solicitor and one a thief.

I have always thought of the idea that we become what we think as a caution - Be careful what thoughts you have you might get stuck that way out!

Yes I do think thoughts have more power than just the electrical impulses they consist of.

You do hear people saying - I always wanted to be a nurse so it obviously happens, but then a lot of little boys want to be trian drivers and presumably grow out of it when they find out the pay and conditions..

    I see it like Emile Le-Coue as a self-hypnosis.
