Do you really think the Championship battle will come down to....?

Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards ONLY when the chase starts?

Or do you think Kyle or Carl will fall off their pace?

Or maybe another driver will step it up and also be in the battle as well with Kyle and Carl? If so, who possibly?

Just your opinion please......

  1. It kills me to say it , but I don't even think it will be a race. The d**n "shrub" is more than likely going to run away with it. Unless of course, this Nationwide thing with Gibbs Racing dredges up some other findings against the Cup teams as well, but I doubt it. It's gonna be, (gag) (choke) (internal vomit) (ingest vomit), Rowdy in 2008

  2. It's Kyle and Carl they both started the season good and now they are just getting better which is the opposite of what most people expected

  3. I'm praying Gordon will come on strong in the chase instead of too early like 04 and 07. Also have hope in Stewart, Harvick, and Kenseth.

  4. Aaliyah S, you're an Edwards fan but you're tired of seeing him win?  What kind of fan are you?!  Amazing. . .

The season so far indicates that it will be Kyle or Carl.  JR has had a good season, but only has one win and has fallen off the pace.  Johnson has 2 wins but his late season push is also falling off.  Kane?  2 wins early got him momentum, but not as much momentum as his commercials have.  His commercials will continue to the end of the season and beyond, his Cup hopes won't.  Anybody have any reason to expect a Cup Championship by anyone other than Kyle or Carl?!  Of course a DNF by both could let anyone else in, but odds are on those two right now.

  5. wrong, anything can happen in the chase. kyle may start with nearly 100 points but 100 isn't that much, he could lose all that lead in just 1 bad race.

  6. It'll mainly be between Carl and Kyle, but Jimmie might creep in.

  7. Well, after tonight's race at Bristol, I had high hopes Kasey Kahne would be in the mix.  Due to the accident he was in, he's in 14th right now with 2 to go.  I can't stand Kyle Busch.  He's an arrogant a$$hole.  Yeah, he's got talent and their is no conceit in his family, he's got it all.  I hope he gets fined and a drivers points deduction after his post race antics with Carl Edwards.  Kyle is a poor example of what NASCAR is all about and I think his little maneuver after the race was over isn't being a professional at what he's paid to do.  Bottom line, keep your eye on Keven Harvick to slowly creep up there and win it all.  Remember, you heard it first here on Yahoo Answers.

Hey Randy M - They don't start the chase with the points they have accumulated during the regular season.  All 12 drivers will start with 5,000 points plus bonus points based on where they did finish during the regular season.  If I recall, the number 1 finisher in points will start with 5,060.  Second place 5,055, third place 5,050 and so on through the fiend of the 12 that are racing for the cup.  If my information is incorrect, anyone, please let me know.

  8. Kyle is gonna take it - After Carl's retaliation after the race today, Kyle is even more motivated to beat him.

Anyway - its going to be mostly those two for the championship battle.

  9. Kyle has won so many d**n races he is going to have to big of lead on other 11 drivers in the chase not to win.  Seriously, i think one of evernham team has to be holding something back

  10. I hope someone else wins I getting sick of both of them.

    And I'm a Edwards fan.

  11. Actually, it seems more like a Carl and Kyle show from the last few races. Both Michigan and Bristol, it was a battle between Carl and Kyle. Watkins Glen was Kyle's and Pocono was Carl's.

Clearly, you can see they are the top dogs...

Sadly, I just don't think there are gonna be any other competition. I mean they might be they're at times, like Hamlin and Gordon at Bristol. Yes, Hamlin, for one, I know was about to move in, but for how long and how many races can he keep that up. Just look at the teams efforts at Michigan. Stewart was looking strong at once, but couldn't show anything towards the end.

Johnson looked like the only one who can stop this duo. Looking at the last two weeks, he just hasn't been up to par. Something else, it's killing momentum. As of now, they're got none.

Gordon, well, although, I admire the guy as he's my favorite, he just isn't any close to Edwards or Busch. He was looking good at Bristol with that solid Top-3 all day, but never was able to get to the Top-2 drivers.

So you can see, it's a Busch vs. Edwards season. Just looking at their wins should tell you. Busch win 8 and Carl with 6, while the rest of the field 2 or below. It's surprised me, but Edwards really has just surged. I mean 3 out of last 4 races won. That's awesome. I think he's gonna match Busch

  12. I wouldn't be counting Jimmie out just yet.

hey sram8265 that wasn't so hard was it?

  13. Yes I think it will come down to Edwards and Bush. Edwards will win the Cup.

  14. I think it's going to be pretty much Carl and Kyle.  I was hoping Jimmie would be in it, too, but, apparently, he ran out of talent.
