Personally, I've used both MAC and drugstore brands and see no difference. The colors may not be exactly the same but the quality is. Basically I was paying a lot more money for fancy packaging and three letters.

MAC make up can sometimes be cheapo and crappy stuff but depending on the stuff ur using it can sometimes work. the thing is cvs carries it so when stopping by to pick up say a bronzer u could compare the two.. one thing that is the main priotrity in finding a good bronzer is the color if cvs has one that is alot darker then ur skin tone and MAC has one almost identical i think we both no which u would choose definetly not darker but in some cases u cna go lighter.. also check the pricing in most cases the more expensive one will be a brand name and that doesnt mean it may work any better.. the best thing to do is trial and error.. try both! make up wont cost u to much money and this way u will no which one works the best with ur skin,skintone, and complection! good luckk

Nope i just watched this thing on one of the news stations (I'm not sure it may have been NBC) and it said there really isn't a difference except packaging. Usually stuff (like not name brand stuff) comes with more and much cheaper and is basically the same thing.

I figured out i'm paying an extreme amount of makeup at MAC rather then buying the same thing at a drugstore. It's more of a materialistic thing. There is really no difference it has all the same mixtures.

well  it definitely depends how you apply your make up. that makes up all the difference  from all the brands out their. but in my case not really its all the same to me.

no there isnt. MAC may be a little more pigmented than some drugstore brands... but there are some drugstore brands that work just a well.

Mac is just expesive because, well... it has the name MAC on the case.

try loreal's HIP collection. its just as good as mac... i actually think it's better. Also try NYX their eyeshadows are great.

Yes. MAC has better packaging, is longer lasting, not tested on animals, and the colors are more vibrant and higher quality. Most cheap drugstore brands contain chemicals that are harmful even if you dont know it, except Physician's Formula.
