McCain fought hard for this to not be a holiday. In the very progressive world that we live in today, do you really want a man who would dishonor one of the greatest leaders of all time like that, running this country?

  1. Im with May here...

Seriously he was a good guy and all -

but it comes down to this

WHO CAN DO MORE FOR OUR COUNTRY??  WHO WILL RUN OUR COUNTRY THE BEST??  IN TIME OF WAR AND SORROW -  WHO WILL REPRESENT AMERICA BEST??  WHO WILL STAND UP FOR YOU??

umm... nope not Obama.. he seriously has HIS own agenda!! - and it is not America

  2. It does make one question his judgement, doesn't it??? Yes, he did say that he was wrong, but should we believe him? I don't.

  3. YEP

Same as I would support a candidate that campaigned to have all the presidents birthdays allocated to one holiday

This country does not need another paid day off for government workers  and an excuse for another department store sale

    Presidents Day

    Memorial Day

    July 4th

    Veterans Day

and possibly Thangsgiving are the only holidays that should be recognized as paid days off

Religious, pagan,  and sectarian holidays should be allowed to be taken but not with pay

  4. thats why we have to vote smart & vote obama//biden2008 if it wasnt for mlk our country wouldnt be the same. in that case there shouldnt be presidents day...

to sma200 & mayflower: you racist b!%#es can go jump off a cliff...

sma200: mccains old a$$ cant run a country, he has no judgment on anything, he says hes against on shore drilling but he picks his vp [[ who he only met once ]] and she is pro on shore drilling. he agrees with bush 95% of the time. he is not the best person to run this country, so dont be stupid and learn the facts about mccain... hes gonna finish the c**p job that bush started, dumba$$

  5. I don't see why ppl need to take the day off from work or have the banks close on the day of MLK's birth...the man was not Jesus Christ.

  6. MLK was a great man but I can think of many others who contributed to our country/history who should be honored other than him. MLK was not a president and he certainly wasn't Jesus.

  7. I don't know, how do you feel about a Senator from West Virginia that's been in the Senate for decades that was in the KKK?  Oh, and he's a Democrat, has white hair, and you guys just love him.

  8. You do know that he admitted that was wrong, don't you?  Several times?  And for several years now?

I'll take that over someone who eagerly accepts, and posts on his website, an endorsement from a violent organization which is intent on starting a race war.
