Question:

Do you really win the prize money offered by the food's company, or is it only a marketing attempt?

This is something I ALWAYS wanted to know. For example, a box of cereal may say, "If you find the "blah, blah, blah" inside this box, you may win $1,000,000."

Do you REALLY win the prize money offered by the company of the snack, cereal, or drink, or is it just an attempt to get more people to purchase their good? If so, has anyone ever won anything?

Thanx! ^_^

  1. Yes, it is just a hoax.  I have never heard or read (in newspapers or magazines) of anybody winning such.  I just buy the product when I think it taste good and the price is reasonable.

  2. I am sure you could technically win whatever it is they say the prize is. But you're fighting the odds. If, say, General Mills has a thing going where ONE person can win $10,000, they have only ONE box in all their cereal that has the "Golden Ticket", so to speak. Now look up how much of that cereal they sell and you can see what your odds are.

But I do agree, at times I wonder, would be cool if they published it. Then again, they might, but nobody ever checks. I know Walmart has this thing where you can win a $5,000 shopping voucher if you fill in a questionaire online, and they tell you when the drawing is and when the winner will be published and all. I'm sure they have that with everything else, too, just to protect themselves from people sueing left and right.

  3. NAW I THINK IT IS JUST A LIE TO MAKE U EAT IT OR  BUY IT MORE

  4. probly not

but if u find someting sool u can put it on ebay 4 like 10,000 $$$

  5. well if they say someone will win then yes someone will win because they are legally obligated to do so and would be fined heavily for the lie

  6. Yes, they really do give it away.  Trouble is, the person who gets the "whatever" in the box could be old, blind, or otherwise disabled and have no clue they've won, and just discard it.  They only have to give it away if someone claims it, and I'll bet they know the odds are slim.
