Yeah i am really worried about the endangered species.

With the endangering of species they become come under a real threat of extinction & if their population decline is not checked then they may become extinct.Extinction of a animal species may destabilize the ecology of a particular biological realm & disturb the entire food chain & food web.This may bring about a far reaching changes in the pattern of other plant & animal species which depend on them & they may also destabilize the demographic situation of a particular realm.

Endangering of a specie is a biological alarm for a series of biological nightmare a region may certainly face if the population of the specie as per the food web is not restored.

The great Shara desert was created & expanded by the ruthless killing of lions,tigers & many carnivorous animals by the romans which in turn destabilized the entire food web & the population of the herbivorous animals increased who over grazed the the grasslands & the entire region turned out to be a great desert & now also the cutting down of the trees is also now the main reason of expansion of the desert area.

So the extinction of a species must worry us because we may also may become a victim of a biological blunder caused & due to  extinction of many endangered species.

yes, its sad how people worry about other things,but not about how certain species are disappearing. We can find and are finding other ways to survive this crisis with gas and other prices going up,but you can't find other ways of creating a polar bear.

No. Most of this stuff is BS. There are more polar bears than there was 10 years ago and they are trying to put them on the list for purely political reasons. Only the gullible pay any attention to this stuff.

No.  Extinction is part of Nature's plan.  Only species that can adapt to current conditions should be allowed to survive.  Artificially maintaining obsolete species is not natural and thwarts the Natural Selection process.

Well, in that case, and being truly honest... NO, i don't worry. A species (including humans) shall either adapt or become extinct. That's life folks!

True, humans are doing a great job of messing around with the planets ecosystem; and while there are so many of us demanding mobile phones, cheap clothing, and an abundance of other products, that is inevitable.

But to all you worriers out there, instead of just saying everything is terrible (which it is), then do something about it. Worrying doesn't help anybody or solve anything.

So go on, do something :D

Take a gap year, or a sabbatical, to volunteer in the field, or just donate ... i recommend wildlifedirect.org for some great conservation blogs if thats your thing.

Truthfull answer,it never crossed my mind until you asked the question.Now that you asked the question,no i still dont worry about it.Not that i dont have a heart but it is of no real concern to me,ive never seen any of these endangered species and i have no emotional connection

not really... shame to lose some of the pritty ones though... humans do destoy these animals homes etc... but animals would if they could, they just dont have the same capacity as us.  humans are too clever for our own good.
