OF COURSE NOT.

But when you're the poorest person in the world atm, and you love games, like me, YOU'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT. Well yeah I plan on upgrading my world of warcraft trial addition to World Of Warcraft FULL....

I only have 256MB of ram, and on trial I have been doing pretty well with it...Sure when I get to ironforge it's like the game turned into a huge slideshow that doesnt ever seem to stop.....Sure when I get around a lot of people I start to lag my *** off....Sure sometimes I lag so bad, I get killed!!

BUT THAT'S NOT TOO BAD BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE RUNS PRETTY WELL FOR ME TO HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD COMPUTER THAT HASN'T ONCE BEEN UPDATED.

So...if you were spending 20 bucks on WoW and WOW is all you can get with the 20 bucks and you had the same computer situation as I. AND YOU LOVED GAMES. Would you still buy it?

  1. Wait a minute... you have only 20 bucks... but it costs 15 bucks a month to play WoW... Think about it.

And no, I would not play any 3D intensive game on 256 MB RAM.

  2. Why the heck not, right? Obviously you enjoy the game, despite the age and condition of the computer on which you play. I'd say go for it. If, in the future, you want to buy a new or newer computer, you can always play WOW on that, instead. It'll be like getting the game for the first time all over again with new found speed :D

  3.      RAM is actually a very easy thing to upgrade in your computer, and can normally be done for pretty cheap.  Many people are afraid to ever open their computer, but in reality it is actually very hard to destroy a computer just by opening it up, and messing with the hardware inside.

If you simply go here... http://www.crucial.com/ ... you can have the site load a program that will scan your comp to find out what memory it requires, or you can enter the information on the board yourself.  Once you've done either one the site will tell you what type of memory you need, and how much it costs.

If you decide to upgrade the RAM here is a good guide on how to do it... http://reviews.cnet.com/Install_more_RAM...

Some good places too compare prices on the RAM are...
