  1. If you're thinking of playing at all seriously (in a league for a team or a singles league or for money) i'd say get one.

I bought a 7'x4' tournament table. After a maximum of three days use,i got a three day old table for £540 plus an extra £100 to have it delivered.

Being able to practise any time free of charge is a huge assett for the improvement to my game, and the saving to my pocket.

Work out how much you spend on fuel travelling to where you would otherwise play.Add to that the cost of your drinks.

I found it only took ten months to pay for itself.

I've had my table for four and a half years. Its saved me thousands of pounds, and improved my game.

    Money well spent.

  2. Yes I would.

I have a 6 foot snooker table with the option to play pool. Ok it isnt the same as playing pool on a pool table but if possible get a pool table with a snooker option.

Depending on which you prefer get that tabel with an option to play the other.

But to answer your question yes I would.

  3. yes.If you have a large enough room. The rooms need to be 15'x20' or larger to fit a table comfortably.

  4. I  have a pool table at my house and love it. It is nice to be able to practice whenever you want.

Price ranges vary. You can get sportscraft tables for 150 or 200 dollars but I think most cheap tables are junk. Call local billiard supplies and ask about Diamond, Oldhausen, Brunswick, and Steeplton tables. I have an steeplton and I actually got it on payments

  5. Only buy one if you are actually going to use it on a regular basis.  The price depends on many things...you have to figure out the size of the table that you would want for your empty room (being sure to have plenty of space to shoot without obstruction).  You will have to shop around for the best price...it is hard to say how much you would have to spend not knowing the size of the table you would be looking for or if you care about the quality of it, etc.  Regardless, pool tables, even lower end ones, are usually not cheap.

  6. yes!!! we have one and itsso much fun! we use it all the time! its so much fun! and the price vary cause there are way nice ines and then sucky ones.

  7. no

    i would recamend

    buying a air hockey table

    those are funnnn

    plus anyone could enjoy them

  8. Go for it. I sell and service them for a living. Make sure you buy a slate table. If its not slate dont buy it. We dont even take them for free.If you will have any more questions let me know you can get a good quality table anywhere from $1000-$2200. and let me tell you I worked on a tables that are worth over $22000 those it mean that they are batter to play than 2200 tables no!!. Infact there are batter tables in 2000 range than in 10000 range.

  9. It's definitely worth it if you're interested in playing or even as a showpiece for one of the rooms.  Make sure to check the room size versus table size requirements at the link below.  You'll likely use 58" cues, as those are standard adult sizes.

You can find good used ones for $1000-2000.  New ones can run higher than that.  If you're serious about playing, get real slate, 1 inch thick or thicker.  Or get that anyway, just in case someone comes over and wants to play so their not disappointed by the quality of the table.
