Do you recommend primer in a can?

im painting my car but i have to do the prep work

  1. Depends on how much area you have, rattle can primer is fine, but if your doing a large area a spray gun and compressor will be better.


  2. It has to be wet sanded so there no shine> Any body work must be smooth> Primed with a primer for the piant> No spray can will work as the thinner in the piant will lift the primer>

  3. for small jobs like a fender or quarter pannel yes but for a compleate car no it is too coastly,you would be better off to buy two quarts mix with thinners and spray with a gun.you will have to deside witch is best for you.good luck

  4. yes, i would recommend it form a can. they also come in spray cans like spray paint but i wouldn't recommend those, get the ones in a can. the ones in a spray can can cause bubbles and unsmoothness, but using cans my whole life they are the choice you want to pick.
