Do you recommend the logitech G5??

I absolutely do, I'm using one right now. It works on practically any surface, though I have a gaming mousemat for mine.

The LASER it uses is invisible, which is nice, since it doesn't have (what I coinsider to be) an annoying glow underneath like most other optical mice. There's also a configurable weight pack with it, which allows you to tune the mouse weight to your liking, though personally I don't use it because I like my mouse to be as light as possible.

There are many other nice freatures to, but I'm sure you already know about them. Basically, it is a good mouse and is great for games.

I'm a hardcore gamer and I prefer the Microsoft cordless myself.
