  1. Only if i don't know where i am going!  It's easier to hve a voice guide you along and tell you where to turn rather than looking out for road signs. Especially in towns and villages where the road numbers are not always show.

  2. i use my brain and common sense

  3. nope getting lost is much more fun and saying do we need that turning oh dam think we needed that 1

  4. no, always been good with directions ... and the fact that there are huge signs by the road are a help aswell

  5. No I don't - I ride a bicycle..

  6. Most of the people who are against sat nav either can`t afford one or, at the least, have never used one.

They really are very accurate and are mainly directed towards people with a car or small van. HGV drivers can get into trouble because of the size of their vehicles.

If you want a relaxed drive to a place that you haven`t been to before, then they are fantastic.

You can just put in the post code, sit back and relax and listen.

The amount of time you actually look at the screen is about the same as checking your rear view mirror.

  7. Nope, its a quick check on AA route finder if i have to then just follow the signs on the side of the road, its what there there for

  8. I do. I am rubbish with directions and always got lost. Even in my area

  9. No sense at all. Unless you are a person who likes taking orders all the time.

  10. I only use my sat nav if i'm in an area unfamiliar to me so that I don't get lost. If I'm in my home town or visiting a place I know, I don't use it. I'm quite good at using my brain to navigate.

you need it half the time when chavs decide to vandalise road signs.

  11. I use a map.

  12. If I don't know the place that I am driving too, I check the map first. I then set the sat-nav but I already have a very good idea where I'm going.

  13. I know my way to work.

  14. i work all over England Wales, sat nav is my rock, road signs arn't always good enough, esp' early hours when its dark, no road lights, raining,in with the post code, easy as......

  15. no i use a good old map

  16. Years ago, I tried getting from Wolverhampton to Leicester in the pouring rain / rush hour / not from the area.  I got so lost, I pulled over and asked the operator on the emergency phone if I was going vaguely in the right direction.  I was told the answer but forcefully told that if I couldn't read a map, I shouldn't be in a car.  Journey took me 5.5 hours - should have been 1.5 hours!!!

Yes - don't go anywhere near strange places without my sat nav!!  Best invention ever!!!
