  1. Postman Pat.

  2. My grandmother had no running water or indoor plumbing, so as late as 1987, we used a hand pump and buckets for water and an outhouse.

  3. There used to be a guy who walked around with a sharpening machine on wheels. I think the sharpening stone was powered by a foot pedal. When you heard his bell you'd run out with your knives or scissors to get them sharpened.

  4. You cant even find a bakery anymore.... its all in grocery stores and they are gross.... Yes I remember when milk was delivered in bottles along with all the other dairy products....Milkman use to put it on the back fence.... had little cards or something to let him know what you wanted.... I dont know if it was 5 cents but I do remember my mom giving my sister and I a dollar and told us to go to the store and we got a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk  some butter and we had a quarter left over and we would always get a banquet cream pie ( and thats when they were huge!!!)

I also remember penny candy... aaah the good ole days *L*
