It was my fave ever childhood cartoon.

Was so funny = )

This cartoon was shown in 1947 - my Mum had only just been born then!!!

yeh, i used to love it when bagpuss used to snarl at the wooden professor woodpecker and emily had to jump in to keep the peace while the mice used to munch on cheese and wine

One of the better Paramount Noveltoons (aka Harvey Funnies, as this is among the Paramount cartoons sold to Harvey Comics in 1959)...sometimes saw this among the old Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons as late as the mid-Eighties. I recently downloaded a copy from the Internet Archive (http://archive.org).

A redubbed version was on "The Harveytoons Show" in the late 1990s (Buzzy the Crow's voice was overdubbed by a new voice actor because it was thought to be stereotypical).
