Do you remember the Rodney King police scandal ??

On the evening Rodney King was brutalized by LAPD officers in 1991, there were other LE agencies on the scene. They were the School District Police, the LA County Sheriff, and the California HIghway Patrol. Everyone got in hot water for not walking up to stop the beatings. I recall from reading the newspapers, that a solitary CHP officer was disturbed by what was happening, and SHE tried to walk up and stop the beatings; but her fellow LE officers held her back and told her it was none of her business. It seems history had completely forgotten her name. Can anyone recall the name of the female CHP officer who tried to stop the Rodney King beatings ?? Her action had led to the Warren Commission report to recommend increasing the number of female officers admitted into law enforcement, as a preventive measure to minimize the risk of another RK scandal from happening again.

I remember.

Perhaps it was a justified beating. Especially if the rioters who destroyed their own city get off with beating innocent people and burning and breaking into many store and causing widespread damage. Nothing happened to many of them, but we should hold police responsible for every  upitty hoodlum who gets his azz beat.
