In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

And good and evil are not alike. Repel evil with that which is best. And lo, he, between whom and thyself was enmity, will become as though he were a warm friend.

Repel evil with that which is best. We know very well what they allege.

These will be given their reward twice, for they have been steadfast, and they repel evil with good, and spend out of what We have given them.

And those who persevere in seeking the favour of their Lord, and observe Prayer, and spend out of that with which We have provided them, secretly and openly, and repel evil with good. It is these who shall have the best reward of the final abode -

It may be that Allah will bring about love between you and those of them with whom you are now at enmity, and Allah is All-Powerful; and Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

  1. The problem with repelling evil with evil is that the evil then becomes a part of you, therefore, it not only remains but multiplies.

  2. With Jesus Christ of course.  You can only cast out demons in the name of Jesus, it works very well too.

  3. Occasionally, evil must be repelled with evil, but that way lies disaster.

If you must become as evil as the evil you seek to defeat, how will we know the difference if you have won?

Love is a better weapon, for evil has no weapons to counter it with.

  4. How can one destroy hate? if they have hate in them? Evil strives on hate. Hate strives on evil.

  5. Jesus Christ said,

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate you enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute your, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matther 6:43-48

Jesus Christ teaches to love your enemy as you love your friend, because even the unbelievers love those who love them. It takes true love to love someone who hates you.

  6. As-Salaam Alaikum.

    Greetings MUHAMMAD,

I'm a Christian (Surah 2:62) but I thought that you couldn't forget this verse:

"And there is life for you in retaliation, O men of understanding, that you may guard yourselves." (Surah 2:179)

  7. What evil?

My religion doesn't need to demonize that which is unfamiliar in order to put it in it's place.
