A lot of people do little or NO research when it comes to the presidential elections.

  1. Absolutely!  As a matter of fact, I've changed my candidate twice in this election thus far with no more need to change.  I have done more research in the past month than I ever have, but that's partly because my candidate has had everything including the kitchen sink thrown!

  2. Absolutely, and Obama is the top dog in the presidential election from the start, I look forward to his leadership.

  3. re-search is possible only after search. I am unable to search the candidates. They are unvisible.

  4. I go to a candidate calculator and I put in my views and it matches me w/ whoever I am most agreeable with.  Then I go and check out the top few.  Unfortunately my # 1 is already out.  lol

  5. I do not vote for anyone without knowing what their positions are on the issues.  That doesn't mean I have to agree with them on everything, for such is impossible, but I will not violate my core values...not even if it means voting for the lesser of evils.

Vote for evil and you still get evil.  It's amazing how few people are able to figure that out.

Seriously, I do not vote in at least half of the races because I cannot stomach any of the candidates or I did not do my homework to know what they stand for.  It's more difficult and time-consuming to research candidates at the local level, especially.

  6. I research the candidate by seeing how many people ***** and moan about them on Yahoo answers, and the person who is bitched about the most I vote for

  7. I do research the candidates. I also feel that I'm pretty well informed on the candidates and more specifically, the candidate I chose. I do think a lot of people vote on party lines and that's really sad.

  8. Yes I do research the politicians running. I even do it down to the state level.  Most of the ones in my town running, I know them better.  I start by checking out their website. Then really research and find out how they voted on issues or how often they voted if they are already in a previous office. I try to be well educated on the politician before they get my vote.

  9. Of course I research the candidates, which is why I'll be voting 3rd party because all 3 remaining Democrats and Republicans agree on all substantial issues (they all support more of the same-old-same-old; the campaign will be about personality and whether we should elect a woman/black man or another old white guy than anything else).  I'll pass on the popularity contest and vote for somebody who will pledge to bring all our troops home immediately, restore our civil liberties (repealing the "Patriot" and Military Commissions Acts and shutting down the Department of Homeland Security at bare minimum), and adopt much-needed free market reforms to fix our broken economic system (such as kicking big business off the welfare dole).  The only way real change will happen is if we kick the 2 parties that created this mess out of Washington and patronize our 3rd parties.

  10. I believe I'm very educated on the matter of politics as a whole but i can assure i dont know everything. What i do know is that the three front runner candidates are all advocates of the North American Union, and the only two that was running that are against the NAU are Ron Paul and Mike Gravel. That makes me worry, im writing in Ron Paul when i vote. I've grown accustomed to the Constitution, and i dont want to lose my liberties.

Give me liberty or give me death.

  11. I think the biggest losers in elections like this one are the local politicians.  So many people rush out to vote on the President and just mark through the local elections with no knowledge of the candidates.  That is what people need to do research on or just not mark anything.
