  1. yes, i think you do run slower becoayse running flat-footed takes more effort to lift your feet. I used to run flat-footed, but now I run heel to toe, and I have seen major improvments. Its not as tiring.

    i don't know any benefits of running on toes, i just know that in track you run on your toes, but in XC or long distance, you run heel to toe.
