  1. First of all, democracy is not a " physical " system that can be installed and maintained, rather, it is a choice made by the people. So, I don't scratch my head when a group of people defy our will. Democracy is not always in the best interest of the U.S. anyway, and our version of it means installing governments that are friendly and obedient to us. Don't only look at Iraq, and think that we removed a dictator to install a democracy. Egypt have a dictator who has been in power for more than two decades. Jordan is a kingdom ruled by one family for the last century, and so are many other nations such as Saudi, Kuwait, etc. However, those nations are our allies despite their human rights violations that you don't hear about because our government don't talk about. The U.S. knew about Saddam's genocides since the early 80's, but he was an ally of the U.S. against Iran. We DON'T install democracies, we install friendly governments that maintain our interests in the region.

  2. Nope.  I do wonder how a fascist President can talk about spreading Democracy while keeping a straight face.

  3. thank you for making me laugh out loud

  4. No: not every country is suited for Democracy; the Middle Eastern countries have been Theocracies for millenia, and so aren't suited for Democracy.

  5. Yeah I do, I would like for other countrys to have what we have!

  6. What we have in Iraq--I wouldn't call it a 'democracy'. Not by a long shot.

  7. Democracy is not always the answer. Case in point: Russia.
