  1. ok i do not scuba dive anymore i FREEDIVE for a couple of reason : i like no lugging around all the things like the tanks and cords , i like being underwater going in cracks and crevases for crayfish wich i couldnot with tanks and i recond it just feels more "free" if you can hold your breath longer enough.  If u have never been scuba diving i recommend you try it if you like surfing or just being in the water.. then later on you may feel to try freediving or ahte it altogether. but back to the questons it is the best feeling to see marine life that not many people do compared to above the surface and its relativley EASY>>> www.freedive.webs.com

  2. Diving is absolutely AMAZING, simply put. Like the others said, find out if a local dive shop offers a "discover scuba" night to find out if it is something you would want to pursue. Remember, it is a gear-intensive sport, so it if it something you decide you like, start saving money, as gear is quite expensive. Good Luck!

  3. diving is amazing, there is nothing like being underwater and enjoying an entirely different world. as far as how i feel, it depends on what im doing, if im doing something really technical i can feel a little stressed (not good for diving, so i use a lot of mental techniques to calm down) or if i am just diving for pleasure it is an entirely pleasurable feeling. i grew up a waterbug and love the water, and would definitely suggest taking a discover course through a local dive shop to see if its something that you might enjoy.

  4. It depends on the water temp for me. I like to swim in warmer water because its less tempting to stop- the nicer the water the longer you wanna stay under. If you are very claustrophobic I do not usually recomend it because you are under water and everything seems closed sometimes for certain people like my friend who couldn't take a minute before they had to come up- it depends how you are with swimming. If you enjoy swimming ALOT I highly recomend it. It's very peacful and relaxing under water- it feels like heaven for the two times I have gone. You just have to trust yourself with it. If it feels right for you I say give it a go.

    Lotsa Luck!

  5. Imagine being totally relaxed, and just floating along.

There's a small part of the feeling you'll have underwater.

If your not sure if you'll like diving, try taking a Discover Scuba class somewhere local.

That will give you a taste of Scuba, and let you decide if you'll like it.
