I'm assuming you mean Dark Knight, as in Batman.  Batman as treated according to a modern fashion -- in the Manner of Frank Miller.

And that is the bottom line.

It's not coincidence.  It's fashion.  

The Wikipedia says the Crow: "...has ...become a cult icon of modern Goth culture. "

And of course the resemblance between Heath Ledger's Joker makeup and The Cure's Robert Smith's stage makeup is hardly coincidental.

It's all about Goth.

Other than the fact that two male actors--who had the potential to be GREAT actors if they had been given the chance--met untimely deaths, had starred in movies with a gothic theme, and both happened to be 28 years old at the time of their deaths? Coincidence, nothing more.

Brandon Lee died as a result of a prop gun malfunction; Heath Ledger's death was ruled as an accidental overdose. Nothing coincidental about that.

Personally, I loved both actors, but I think you (and everyone else) are trying to read too much into this.
