Wolves don't have blue eyes. Purebred Malamutes don't either. He actually looks almost exactly like a Siberian husky/Akita mix I babysat.

  6. yes a tiny bit.

  7. I have to agree with you on the fact that there's something other than Wolf/Malamute to produce those stunning blue eyes.

Is there actually any Wolf in this dog? Who knows. I don't believe it's 50 Wolf 50 Malamute though. There's something else.

  8. No

He looks like he has some of that Australian breed in him.

  9. looks part husky and part wolf possibly some akita or shiba inu. He doesn't have malamute in him, I'm pretty darned sure of it... i dunno though may be a gene passed down through generations of mixed breeding.

  10. You're 100% wrong.

Wolves of any distinction can have a wide range of eye color, including the hues of blue.

Malamutes, too, can have blue eyes. However its considered to be a fault, and breeders breed the trait OUT. If a pup has blue eyes, the dog is fixed and disqualified from breeding standards.

ADD> Being obsessed with wolves and working hand-to-hand with them are two different things. I can't tell you how many Eastern Timber wolves that I've seen that have blue eyes. Arctic and Mexican wolves also have blue-hued eyes. When you've stepped off of the computer and worked to tag and track these animals, and when you've done about six hundred hours of service in wolf sanctuaries, you can tell me that wolves don't have blue eyes.

  11. Looks like a siberian husky & german shepard mix.Very pretty guy.Tilks Mom

  12. Defiantly looks like he has wolf in him and perhaps Siberian Husky/Malamute.

    Beautiful dog.

Although rare, some wolves do have blue eyes.

  13. I do, in the form of the dog, but then that's very husky as well isn't it?

  14. Hmm well you do know that all these dogs were once Wolf's. they come from the "wolf family" so yes I do see a little wolf in him but I highly doubt it is a wolf! lol looks more like aSiberian husky/akita exactly what u said. AGREED? :)

  15. Your picture is only of the head & you can't tell anything by just the head.  Many dogs have an appearance that looks like a wolf but they are so far off it ain't funny.

And many people think they got a Wolf hybrid but it is just a dog.  Can't tell by your pic.
