They are awful they only come out where i live when it's dusk and it's warm.

So i probably won't see one for another couple of weeks.

It's actual name is interesting though huh lol!

Yes i get them every year (swarms). I have to shut all the windows as they seem to head butt them. Huge things, as big as bees! Last year i went to bed, was just about to fall asleep and moved my hand under the pillow...... there was one under my pillow. Eewww, it still makes me shudder. Made me scream at the time - lol.

Yeah, I saw tons last year, but only at dusk/early evening. They dive bombed us on our balcony.

I haven't seen any this year so far but I'm sure it wont be long.

I love all things beetle related.

what a coincidence. i hed never seen one before, but there was a huge beetle in my waterbutt that i rescued yesterday, and it was one of those. cool.
