I don't know if I'm the only one who sees numbers in colors, or at least imagines them in colors. I've heard about people seeing numbers in colors on TV, but not in real life. Sometimes, I also see letters in colors. Does anyone else? If you do, can you tell me what colors you see for each number or letter? Thanks!

  1. Synesthesia, a condition characterized by one sensory experience generating another - so that shapes have tastes, for instance - is estimated to affect between 1 in 200 to 1 in 2,000 people. The most common form involves seeing specific letters or numbers (graphemes) in specific colors. For these individuals, known as grapheme-color synesthetes, an ordinary "5," in black ink on a white background, always appears red or a "k," greenish-blue.

  2. no i dont. i think it might be synesthesia. there are many types of synesthesia. like some ppl see words moving when they listen to music. i watched on a documentary that everybody is born with synesthesia but most of use lost that ability as we grow older. i read that this 'ability' doesnt serve much purpose, but i think it would be interesting to have it.

  3. No I don't.
