Yes rising fuel cost is going to promote more of a local economy since the cost of shipping will reduce the profitability of out sourcing to countries on the other side world.Right now labour is the major cost in manufacturing.When transportation costs over take the labour cost .Corporations will feel the need to produce there product as close as they can to there market.

You can never know for sure, because you just can't predict when Americans are going to stop spending money. all you can do is prepare your self, save your money or find secure thing to expand it. its just one of those things where the people who saw are prepared and the people who see are not.
