The more you learn, the more you know,

The more you know, the more you forget

The more you forget, the less you know

So, why learn.

  1. No. The conclusion is does not logically follow.

If the rate of knowing from learning is still more than the rate of not-knowing from forgetting, then the entire statement is false. Since the statements do not discount that possibility, the logic is incorrect.

  2. I can "see" the logic, but the argument is circular and thus moot. Still I will take a stab at it. If you learn more, you have the capability to forget  and still know more than you would have initially. Plus, if you don't learn anything, as the conclusion suggests, you start out in a deficit. So when you for forget, which is inevitable even in this argument, what happens?

I CANNOT believe I just answered that question. (((LOL)))

  3. Do we search for 'lessons' to lessen the pain?

  4. knowing is just remembering, learning is understanding. IF you understood, you won't feel afraid.

living will be more easier. doesn't matter if you forget or know it.

  5. Alzheimer's.  That's what I think.  When one is afflicted with the disease, everything you know/learned in the past just vanish into thin air. There's nothing in the brain, not even memories of persons close to you.  hehe

Well, that's a very good reason for not learning/studying.  What's the point in going through all those (school, books) when the more your brain assimilates, the more it tends to forget what it has assimilated? Could it be the brain's too small to hold all the knowledge (records) it has stored over the years?  Hmmm... TG I am past schooling!

  6. Those statements are for quitters and for the tamad (lazy). Learning should not be an obliging thing. It must come from the heart, otherwise we won't be receptive to anything.

  7. that is learning WITHOUT comprehension. one could not easily forget if there is an understanding of the knowledge or lessons given.

the more we accumulate knowledge, the more our brain functions to have a higher level of understanding, thus we don't forget but we actually, discriminate. remove what is not essential, add what needs to be added and retain the vital ones.

am i making sense? i hope..

  8. the less you know, the less things you'll do

the less things you'll do, the less mistakes you'll commit

the less mistakes you'll commit, the clearer conscience you'll have

    the clearer conscience you'll have...

    haaahhh, peace of mind...

gets, ate? I hope so... jejeje...
