Question:

Do you seperate male while female is pregnant?

My female mouse is pregnant and some people have told me

to take the male mouse out of the cage so it doesnt interupt the female but some people have told me to take it out.

what should i do?

  1. take out the male ... the female needs to concentrate on having healthy babies and the male will sometimes eat the young after they are born. Safer to take him out now. Don't put him back until the babies are weaned.


  2. take out the male because he'll try to breed while she's giving birth and either the babies will get hurt or the male will get attacked by the female

  3. u should unless u want another litter wen she had the 1st she become on heat straight after and it can caus stress on her which could lead to her eating the babies try this site for info on the babies

  4. Take him out because she may kill her babies and he will mate with her again and will not be good for mom
