  1. Just pull the string that runs along the edge. You should not shell them.  Put them in a pot of boiling water for 11/2 minutes and then plunge them in a bowl of ice and cold water to stop them from cooking any further.

  4. You don't shell them!! I wash them and soak it in water for about 30 minutes or so.  Make sure you take of the stringy part of it by snapping a tiny part of the tip and tear away the stringy sides.  Stir fry it in olive oil, garlic and salt or soy sauce to your taste.  Don't over cook it, it would loose it's nutritional value and it taste best when it's got a bit of a crunch to it!!

  5. Not neccessary. I don't think anyone shells snow peas. They are stringy though.

  6. Not necessary, you can eat them whole.  You may want to take the "string" out that runs along one of the seams.  But the shells are perfectly edible.
