Ok lets look at this with a little common sense....Your average american uses 10 gallons of gas a week...thats 40 gallons a month. Gas prices have gone up only $1 since 2006. That means you are paying about $500 more this year then you did 2 years ago. Most americans got a stimulus check for $300 or more this year for doing nothing other than being americans. So that cancels out the increase in gas prices this year, right there since gas prices are only about $250 more this year than last year....plus..you got the crazies who go down the street because gas is 10 cents cheaper then at the gas station nearby....these are the real crazies.....what will an extra 10 cents a gallon buy you? Thats a whole $4 at the end of the month....ok...so at the end of the month you can buy a happy meal at mcdonalds...WOW....so you spend all this time worrying and stressing and checking signs to make sure you are getting a cheaper deal at one station than the other...

  1. when you're out in the country its pretty hard to shop on line.  when November comes do your shopping in the voting booth.  Which one of these candidates is going to help the economy by getting more oil?

  2. I don't shop around for gas prices, I just fill up where its cheap if i notice cheap gas around. Usually i don't find anything cheaper than the gas station around the corner from me, since most of the cheap gasoline is cheap brand, and i only put in Shell, Chevron or Mobil. There's no point in stressing over gasoline prices, at most anyways its like 8 cents cheaper somewhere else, which isn't worth me driving over there out of my way just to fill up gasoline, when i can just do it on my way to work or on the way back from work at the gas station around the corner.

I don't know where you live though, but gas prices in my area have gone up nearly $2 since 2006. So i'm paying about $1000 more than i did in 2006. Income hasn't really adjusted to the price increases for many people. A lot of people are making the same amount of money as gas prices rise, and $1,000 a year, or even $500 more a year, is a lot for some.

  3. I do my price shopping on-line. When I drive, I pay attention to what area prices are. I'ts a lot cheaper than driving around looking for prices.
