Do you sometimes dream you are someone else?

Have you ever been someone else in your dream? Did you know the person and did you like who you saw? Have you had recurring dreams with that same person starring as you? If you haven't, what would you say this means? Your insight would be much appreciated. Thank-you!

Sometimes this is your mind's way of distancing yourself from a problem or issue that you're working through.

Sometimes this is like going on vacation.

Sometimes this is processing events and things that you may have seen or heard during the day, including on television. So much of our lives are on the telly, it's not a surprise that we dream that way (in the third person is what you're describing.)
