Do you sometimes wish you could communicate with animals?

I LOVE birds and sometimes I wish I could send them a thought message or something to let them know I won't hurt them so I could pick one up.

Do you sometimes wish you could communicate with animals?

If so, what animal would you most like to talk to?

Yeah, my parakeet, I just asked a question about it a while ago, he always flies all over the cage.  I wish I could tell him he's fine.  The answer is every animal I could!

Sometimes i wish that i could communicate with my dog. But then when i think about it, i am kind of glad that i can't. Because it would be boring if we could talk to them. I like having to try and read their signals, and bonding with them in different ways. If you see what i mean.

I guess with birds though its a slightly different matter. With dogs you just have to shake a toy around, take it for walks, feed and water it, in order to bond with it. However, with birds you have to get it to trust you before you can do anything with it. So i can see where you're coming from.

I feel like that I can communicate to a point with animals.  I make friends with most animals immediately.  I live in the country and have made friends with many skunks.  One even let me pet him all the time.  They come and eat with my cats and sleep on the porch.  They are not afraid of me and never spray.  I think they think they are just one of the cats.

A huge raccoon comes to my door everynight and peeks in.  He is usually wanting food, so I talk to him and then go give him some cat food.

The pasture next door has cows and donkeys.  When they hear me they all come running.  The donkey loves being petted.

I have a cow that is now a year old.  His momma died when he was only 3 months old.  He got a disease called black leg that usually kills them within 24 hours.  I took care of that baby for 3 months giving him penicillin shots, feeding him, keeping flies off of him.  He could not walk the whole time.  The disease destroys his muscles in his upper legs.  We fought the disease together and he is a miracle baby, ask any vet.  He now walks and is normal as can be, except he's like a miniature cow.  About the size of a great dane.  He runs around with the dogs and thinks he's one of them. He comes when you call him and is just as calm as can be.  I think he knows how much I love him and helped save his life.

I've been to people's houses that their cat comes and jumps on my lap and they can't believe it because it never has anything to do with strangers.

I just truly love animals and they know it.  They know that I won't hurt them.  My cats come to me when they are ready to have babies and have them in front of me.  My cats also come to me when they are dying and most have died in my arms.

I truly think they can understand me.  I just wish that they could talk back and I could understand them when they are sick and not feeling good.  I would most like that any animal could tell me what was wrong when I don't know, so that I could help them.
