Do you spell favorite the american way or favourite the british way?

I keep getting mixed up with the British people!

I spell it the American way, btw.

  2. I'm British, so I spell the British way!

    Favourite, colour, rumour, humour, centre, theatre, etc; and -ize as -ise usually, except in civilized.

    I love the quirky old British way, and wouldn't want to have things made standard or easy or simplified.  Might lose my brain!

  4. I am Egyptian but was taught in private schools which used the British curriculum.. i was at a loss when i faced college "American Curriculum" :D)) i remember many words..ex. Labor,,after a while i did not care much...American is easier...although i adore the British Culture!!! :))

  5. I'm an American living in Britain.  I got so tired of the spell-check on my laptop telling me I was spelling these words wrong, that I finally gave up and now spell them the British way! LOL....My husband is British and I am always telling him that it isn't MY fault they don't know how to spell these words!  He usually rolls his eyes and gives me the "Arrogant American" glare!
