  1. I did it for the first month. I boiled the water for the formula for 5 months though

  2. Not really...

Sterilizing doens't really have to be done after every wash. Once the bottles hit air they become unsterilized anyway.

Soap and water do just fine, and a dishwasher will sterilize easily

  3. everybody is different... i only steralize my babys bottles/nipples when i buy then brand new... other then that i use hot hot water and lots of soap... and my sons fine 5 months old

  4. yeah you have to sterilize your bottles to protect your baby. How you do it is easy you put them into boiling water and leave them air dry. Just think about it this way you wash your dishes after every use, well you have to do the same for baby.

  5. You do not need to sterilize them. Wash them each time in hot soapy water and air dry. I would boil the water I used to mix the formula though.

  6. I have 4 kids and the only one I sterilized with was my first. I've somehow been able to keep my other 3 alive and healthy. They do not get sick all time like those poor kids whose mothers are following them around with lysol. Obviously, you should was them with warm soapy water and allow them to dry. I never used bottled water either. Save yourself the hassle and just wash them thoroughly.

  7. I've been doing it for five months. It's probably not necessary, but hey! I already have a routine. :)

  8. Yes, for now it is.

I stopped sterilizing my son's bottles when he was just over 4 months old and started putting everything in his mouth anyway.

Of course I do wash wash them with very hot soapy water after every use and rinse them extra careful.

  9. no. I've only sterilized them the first time we go to use it then wash it normally. Same with pacifiers, I sterilize them when we first bring them home, then after that they go in the dishwasher about every 2 weeks or so.

  10. Yes, With both of my children I bought enough bottles to last 1 day and would  then put them all in the diswasher by them selves at the end of the day to wash and sterilize them.  They make baskets to hold the nipples and such so that they become clean also use the heated dry to make sure they were as steril as could be.
