I purchased a paper today, the first in months, it was just full of gossip, s*x, recipes and nonsense. I thought the media was all about telling us what was going on in the World.

  9. No I have better ways to spend my money and I don't trust the Uk press one bit.

  10. I buy them ... but only bother with the front page usually.

Husband and Mother-in-law read it all.

Usually bits on the Internet covers it better.

  11. No, they are far to politically biased one way or the other. I prefer to just do the occasional crossword in ones in the pub and prefer my news that is not embellished.

  12. I have the newspaper delivered daily, can't do without my comics.

  13. can't see the point anymore, you can get up to the minute news online.

  14.   no i have it deliver

  15. No, I usually just look at the internet news sites or the news on tv.

  16. Even after I quit reading the daily newspaper delivered to me at home, it took me several years to stop taking it. I read all my news from on line newspapers. I've found this to be a lot better source of news than any given newspaper. I generally read the Charlotte Observer, USA Today, US News & World Report, Time, and a few other papers. I get most of my sports news from a major on line newspaper near the location of the teams I'm following.

  17. i read the paper on line

  18. Try the Independent or Telegraph.  The rest have - as you noticed - gone for cheap cr*p

  19. I get mine daily and it's ok with plenty of good editorials. I can also use it to start the fireplace, to pad the cat litter, to paint, for Mexican holidays  and for school projects. I also get a TV guide, crosswords, comic strips and many more things in the Saturday edition.

  20. You bought a "comic" .

Try one of the "broadsheets" such as The Times, Independent....in order to get real news coverage.

  21. i've never bought a daily paper...<^><...

  22. i read Bizarre...tells me far, far more about the world than a paper...shame it's a monthly mag....that lives up to its name!...if you are easily offended, don't look...it is not full of kittens and knitting patterns BUT does make me realise that I am so very lucky to have a healthy child and no hurricane demolishing my country...take a look at the link...it is eye opening...but there is s*x in there too...s*x is a part of life...but not the be all and end all!...Have Fun :0)

  23. I still buy one, it's mainly to read about the football though, I get the news from TV and internet!

  24. If I look at a paper at all it's for sport or sometimes the letters in the quality papers e.g. The Times are interesting. The rest is depressing.

  25. o i read the ones at work

  26. No, I get just about all of my news on-line now. However my parents still receive the a daily newspaper.

  27. No, I read the news on-line or watch it on tv.  Newspapers have their own hidden agenda, I prefer to make my own mind up.
