  1. First of all....please dont do that. Second...most insurance companies have a waiting period before suicide is covered.

  2. The majority of companies will pay the life insurance benefit in the event of suicide.  For their protection, they usually do have a clause that states they will NOT pay if the suicide occurs within two years of the policy being issued.    Consult your life insurance agent.  Keep in mind, the money won't do you much good once you're dead.  You probably do a lot more good to your friends and family by being alive.

  3. Most companies (but not all), have a 2 year exclusion on suicide.  What this means is if you commit suicide within 2 years, your claim is pretty much automatically denied.  Even after 2 years it can theoretically be denied, but it's not automatic.  Really depends on how old the policy is and who the company is.  If you have your policy it will explain that in the policy if there is a suicide clause and how it works.

  4. Gotta wait two years.  Then be my guest.

  5. Actually, YOU can't collect if you're dead.  As for your beneficiary, it depends on the life insurance policy.  Some will not pay out at all.  Some will pay out if the suicide occurs after a certain amount of time elapses from the time the policy was purchased.

You have to read the policy.

  6. No insurance company will pay benefits on life insurance if you kill yourself. That would be too easy: I'm desperate, I kill myself and my family gets a million dollars (or whatever). Never happen.
