  1. According to a recent survey

-- 29 percent say they make more calls with their cell phone than with their home phone. Among this group, 76 percent make a lot more calls with their cell phone.

-- 15 percent of adults surveyed say they aren’t quite ready to cut the cord, but are somewhat likely to get rid of their landline. Eight percent say they are very likely to ditch their landline in favor of a cell phone-only existence.

  2. Yes sir-ee Bob!

  3. Nope, got rid of lands line 6 years ago.  No laptop, always on the go and with a cell family can get a hold of me any time, anywhere in most cases.  If I am out on the road and have trouble, no worry, flip...call...saved!

  4. Yes.

I could make a small economy, but I am not mean-minded enough to save money by having my friends and family pay cell-phone charges to call me.

And I am also mean enough to not want to pay cell phone charges to call my friends and family and businesses.

I also use VOIP for most of my outgoing calls but I have kept my France Telecom line so that I am not stuck in case the network is down, power outages, most incoming calls (especially from my mother-in-law), outgoing faxes (about once a year! They don't always work with Voip) and for certain special phone numbers.

  5. no...I got rid of it 5 years ago!! and I will never go back....I'm sick an tired of all the fees and taxes!

I got VoIP before it was even fashionable....and love it!

  6. I have a landline and cell. Tried cell only, but then you have companies like cable and others keeping you on hold for over 1/2 hr. Minutes on cell phone really are eaten up quickly.

  7. No.

I use VoIP over PC and ATA over cable Internet.

  8. yup, its a cordless one that can be palmed easily to make calls

  9. Yes.

Why do you have a cell phone?

I've know people that can talk on their cell phone in one part of their house but not the other.  My brother has a cell phone and a land line. He lives six miles from me. If I call him I have to use the land line for a better connection.  We went on vacation to Ireland six years ago. We called back to the states just to say we made it and the connection was perfect.  I've talked to people on their cell and had terrible connections.  And I'll say this.  A lot of good a cell phone will do in the middle of Kansas where there isn't a cell tower for tens of miles away.

  10. yes

  11. I have all three services with the cable co.

hi-speed internet, cable & digital phone.....

I got rid of Verizon 2 years ago, too many problemsa nd surcharges, and I would advise everyone else to "dump them"
