  3. Yes, I still hold my moms hand when we're in public sometimes (I'm 17). I mean it's not creepy or nothing, that's my mom. Also, it's not like we just hold hands all through Wal-Mart but walking from the car to Wal-Mart we may hold hands, not because a car may hit me, but just because. My immediate family is very close. My mother is my best friend we talk about any and everything. For the longest time it was just me and her because my father wasn't there. And as a kid I had slight case of seperation anxiety. In the middle of the night I would sneak in the bed with her and whenever I spent the night over someone else' house, I would feel so guilty, because she was at home by herself and I would cry myself to sleep. Now, she's re-married and has a 10 month old and sometimes it just feels like we don't have time to spend together like we used to so any time it's just us together shopping or just doing girly-stuff, it gives me memories of the old day when it was just me and her.

  4. Yeah, I do, I'm in high school and whenever my mom and I go out  shopping or something like that I hold her hand. I'm not embarrassed to be seen with them because I love my parents so much. Not to mention I think of them as smart, confident, and strong people. I feel proud to be seen with them.

I mean, I got weird about holding my parents' hands when I was in 4th-6th grade, but I realized I was being weird when I got earlier. Then again, at the same time I was weird about holding their hand, them kissing me good-bye, being seen with them at all, and a bunch of other silly stuff.

Now, I realize that I was being silly and there's nothing to be ashamed of.

  9. i sitll hold my moms hand. im 17. its almost always joking, but its not like there si anything wrong with it.  and people who think that " its just wrong" are just insecure and not confident with other peoples opinions about them. if you want to hold your parents had, hold away!

  10. I guess I qualfiy, since Iturned 24 las February. I always hod dad's hand where ever  we go together.  For as long as I can remember, I always held "daddy's hand to keep from getting lost".  All through brwonies and girls scouts, all through hundreds of hospital visit for some test or other (and some of them really hurt and others made me feel so sick), helpin me shop for clothes and 'lady business' products.  Eve now, when we go somewhere to eat or shop, get cars worked on, whatever...I still hold his hand, and i always will.

  11. I do and i'm 19. It doesn't even matter.

  12. well i do  (im 13)

i feel very close to my parents and anyone can call me a freak but i have learned not to be embarassed by my parents.

they do everything for me and have taught me everything.

even though they are "weird" sometime, they are my parents and everyone is weird sometimes too

plus i have gained many people's respect (esp. adults) b/c i love my parents and am not afraid to show my affection to them!!

  13. I have no problem holding my mother's hand while we're shopping or something.

She raised me. She loves me. She's always been there for me. It's not that big of a deal, if your mature enough. It doesn't mean your a baby it means you love them.

  14. why do u?????

  15. no

    jus becuz.....y??

  16. No. It makes you look like a baby.

  17. I don't b/c I'm not 3, i'm 13 and there's a huge difference in those years, not to mention the teasing that would come form it.

besides, i can't even stand being seen with them in a city where no one knows me.

  18. Uh...

Not by choice, thank you very much...

Last night I went to the Pharmaprix with my Dad because i'm leaving for Europe today and he wanted to hold my hand... I didn't let him :P

    I think it's just a little embaressing....
