I still do and before you get all critical here is why:

The show is not a bad show. It is not like Nick made anyone get pregnat on the show. There is nothing wrong about and just because one character made a mistake, doesn't mean that we should just stop our children from watching it.

Those parents that say your kids can't watch it, I have nothing agansit you and it is your choice and I am not trying to make fun of it, I am just saying I have a different view of things.

So parents, do you still let your kids watch the show? Why or why not? I would opinions.

  1. Well, I am the kid, and I still watch it. Its a good show.

  2. Yes it is not a bad show to watch it is just Jamie Lynn made a mistake obviously the writers still want to go through with the show.

  3. Well, Lohan made some mistakes and so has Brittany Spears and a lot of others so I guess that you can't put rules on one that your not going to put on everyone and if we did that we would not have actors or actresses. My point is everyone makes mistakes we just need to teach our kid how to learn from them!

  4. My daughter doesn't even like the show....she thinks it is lame and doesn't think Jamie Lynn can act so I didn't have to make that decision.  However, I would still have allowed her to watch it if she wanted to....the show has nothing to do with her real life so why make a big issue out of it?

  5. Woohoo, what a great question, first I want to say thank you for throwing out to the wolves, so to speak for answers.

Yes, I have a 10 and 13 year old and found it a great tool and opportunity to have talks with them about how her choices and actions are affecting her life, her career, her parents lives, etc. And all the things she's going to miss out on as a kid, as a star, and all the money she's going to spend on her baby not stuff. We covered all areas and continue to talk about it. What great lessons these Spears' girls are teaching my kids. They are teaching them what not to do with your life. So, there is some good coming out of the funk.

  6. Yes I would, girls used to get pregnant at that age in the past, and they still do in some tribes and in some cultures, it is perfectly natural.

And the pregnancy has nothing to do with the show, which is a good show.

  7. Course. There are only the stupid people that think Zoey = Jamie Lynn

  8. only wierd parents would do that.

  9. yeah, cause 'zoey' isn't pregnant................ 'jamie lynn' is pregnant  kids dont think of jamie as zoey they think of zoey as zoey

  10. Yes, I do....

  11. i still watch it (13) and i think my mom lets me still because teens mess up and u can see that celebrities are just the same as any other teen i think in a weird way it is a good thing

  12. I LOVE THAT SHOW. i still watch it because it is like a 30 min. romantic comedy

  13. Yes. My children didn't even know Jamie Lyn was pregnant until they looked over my shoulder when I was online...

The show was in the can before she got pregnant, and we discussed not having s*x until marriage, drugs, doing things that can hamper obtaining you personal dreams/future, etc.

Bottom line, it's just a show and actors and actresses have lives off screen.

  14. i think almost all parents still let their kids watch it. a LOT of kids dont even realize she is pregnant because most kids that watch that show are 5-10 years old. the other age group that watches it 11-16 know she is pregnant and know its wrong and not to do that. you have a good point as to why you let your kids watch it and i think all parents feel that way

  15. of course I still let them watch it. It's not like the girl got pregnant on tv, infront of them - my goodness - my son doesn't even KNOW that she's pregnant - nor does he care! he just likes the show.... ♥

  16. It is the free choice of the individual parents to decide whether or not their kids continue to watch the show.  However, being a responsible parent, one must decide what is the best way to approach discussing the situation with you child.  Your children should have explained to them that it really is NOT okay to be so irresponsible and that it is NOT something that most normal people see as a positive thing.

  17. I never let them watch it prior to the Jamie Lynn tell-all, and they are not permitted to watch it now. I'm very strict with television time for my children. I know, I know. I'm mean and horrible and awful. My children agree. I'm okay with that.

  18. Yes, it is a good show. Kids are kids, they are prone to mistakes just like adults.
