I love monopoly, i have a small collection of the games so far including, the here and now limited edition, the here and now uk edition, the fifa world cup one, the anniversay of the original new york version and the original uk version in its old wooden box, i still want to get the disney version, plus various verions from round the uk and the world. and yes i do have a kitty in the middle, not for free parking though, its a real one cos my lil kitten likes to join in!

We do have the kitty thing yeah. Sometimes me and a friend or me and my sister start playing, but to be honest, we never finish the game because it just takes too long for our feeble little easily distracted minds.

Yes we still play - I got a nice wooden box set in Woolies recently to update my old dog-eared set. I've had friend's who do the free parking kitty thing - but always personally like to stick to the rules as they are in the little booklet.

We have gone Scrabble mad since Christmas though.I bought my son The Simpson's set, and we have played it quite a lot.

Absolutely, having played many various versions from the original Monopoly through to the newest one where you can use the credit cards, instead of having to handle any paper money. In my opinion though, i think that it is best to play the paper money versions, just so we could have bragging rights, and we can use the free parking rule for more bragging rights if we landed on it. In the new version, the free parking space basically doesn't allow anything except a blank space to land on.

Now and again, tried the latest version but the prices are so high and have so many 0's at the end! I prefer the original.

Yes, I still play Monopoly when I can find someone who want's to play! and yep, put the $$ in the middle that you win if you land on free parking. I'm pretty sure those aren't the 'official' rules, but it makes it much more interesting, I think.

I have played Monopoly only a few times and never did get into it much.  We were much more interested in games such as Scrabble, Mancala, Life.  When we played Monopoly we didn't have a kitty.

Yes, I even have a special edition. We don't put the money in the middle however, we kept it tucked under the free parking corner so it doesn't mess with the dice roll.
