Perhaps but I'am interested to find out whether anyone even knows what I'm talking about...things like hopscotch also seem to have vanished from childhood games these days.

I would love to show my daughter how to do it but we have pebble dash walls and the school walls are wood panels and cut stone so I can't find a flat surface e.g. brick wall. I have tried but the balls go all over the place! Can you remember any of the rhymes?
