Do you still watch cops even if your a cop?

The only real cop show I eve watched was Barney Miller. Closer to real life than the others. I quit that after a few years.

Contrary ot what others may believe, not all police watch cop shows and not all police eat, drink, live, love police work.

Was a great job and am glad I am retired. Got to experience things the average person only hears about but all in all, it was a 30 year job. Not much more and not much less. Glad I did it but glad I'm retired.

Yes,

it honestly teaches us how not to handle situations.

And makes us thankful we don't work with ANY of the guys on there.  :)

At the academy they preffer you watch that because you can learn from it and learn the procedures that other depts have.

I do. it can be very educational....

not only how to handle a situation, how NOT to handle a situation.
