Do you string polyester strings differntly on drop weight machines? cuz it snaps in 3 min when playing wit it?

i string it witht he klippermate and the polyester string keeps snapping after ten shots and it always snaps at the way top on the left corner or right. i kno for a fact there is nuthing wrong with the frame or grommet or string... what am i doing wrong while stringing. cuz i kno polys dont stretch but what am i doing wrong

  1. your question is a little vague. Are you stringing hybrid? what kind of polyester string are you using? where did you get the string? at what tension are you stringing it with? have you calibrated your stringer (since its drop weight) yet? If you leave certain polyesters in the heat of your car or a hot place, it'll snap quite easily, especially if your sweetspot pattens is higher on the bed of strings. If you string hybrids, than polyesters will always eat into multifiliments and break quickly. theres many factors you need to consider.

    You shouldn't have to do anything different with polys than with other strings (except maybe decrease tension a little)

    This is really interesting... if there is nothing wrong with the racket, why does it keep breaking in the same place?   Also, people use poly's becasue they don't break (although they tend to lose some tension)

    Perhaps, the string is being bent somehow when you're stringing it and that is creating a weak spot.
