Do you suffer from selective deafness ....?

I am constantly being told that I don't listen to a certain person who shall remain nameless but I really don't hear ...

Could it be that I CHOOSE not to hear or am I really going deaf ...?

  3. of course you choose to be selective according your interest... this is very characteristic in men...including my deaf husband :P

It's called selective attention, i studied it in psychology courses lol u listen only to what ur interested in for example right now although there are cars passing by or noises (clock....) u are not bothered cause ur not focusing on them, however when sm1 calls ur name, u turn so how come u weren't listening to what they were talking in the other room & replied only 2 ur name? that's what u call selective listening .... Otherwise, ur growing old Jeddo =( lol

    example:

    mom: no you cannot go to that party

    what i hear : go to party

    mom: please go clean the windows out side

    what i hear : please go out

  10. Unfortunatel, I choose not to listen to most people all the time. lol... Its a subconcious thing, If I feel they are morons I will shut them out. I'll talk and respond to people, I just dont listen to them talk most times... lol
