  1. She hasn't got much experience, but then, she does have more than Obama.

    Other than that, she's terrific.  Whether or not she's a good political choice remains to be seen.

    Had McCain picked a RINO like Romney or Ridge, it would have been all over.  They might as well have just crowned Obama as President.

    As it is, I think it's going to be a close race.

  2. Yes - Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP (and future President)! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius who picks likewise!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * is a vocal, huge proponent of American energy independence & Alaskan drilling

    * has actually been leading people for the past several years, while Obama & Biden have been leading NO one!

    * shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail

    * will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks

    * is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get

    * ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending

    * is the mother of 5 kids!

    * has had her son deploy to Iraq

    * is for a strong US defense

    * is an ice fisherman

    * is a moose hunter

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

    All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!

    McCain/Palin '08

    Peace

  3. She's not my favorite, I think Romney would've given him the election, but she's not bad.   She's a good choice because she draws attention and luster away from Obama.  She shows that McCain is open to change and going an unconvential route.   She's young which was important for McCain's VP pick.  She helps rally the Republican conservative base and she's a show of support to the disenfranchised Clinton voters.   Plus, Obama really can't attack her on much because anything than can bring up against her the Republicans can throw right back at Obama such as inexperience.

  4. No...No and No

  5. No and no. She's a mother of 5, including an infant with down syndrome!  You can't honestly tell me that she can give 100% into her job. Also, McCain has been pressing that Obama is inexperienced, and yet he picks someone with even less experience.

  6. A clever short term decision...yes, a wise one...no.

    Governor Palin looks like a good "America first" leader in charge of a remote and unique state.  Her domestic economic policies seem sound and she would be a valuable asset in the administration of the interior.  As VP, she is a terrible choice.  As possible president her problems are:

    -She admits to not knowing much of the world.  Iraq is not one of her interests.  It will have to become one fast and her teachers are going to be the worst ones possible.  The policy of the neocons lead by a person who is ignorant of the world is double trouble.

    -Her social views are some of the least accepted in the western world.  Being a bible thumping, global warming denying, anti-abortion, and hunting woman is not exactly the way to build European Allies.  If she was against woman driving she could run in Saudi Arabia.

    -She has already flip floped on the bridge to no where issue.  She was for it when it was earmarked, to make it worse.

    She seems great for her state but as the VP of a man who is 72 years old and in bad health, I do not think she is the one we need holding the Nuke button in todays times.  Instead of trying to get Polar bears off the endangered species list, maybe she should have been wondering why her son is going to go to Iraq.

  7. Yeah, she's a great choice for several reasons.

    1) She's a woman (meaning they will get votes from women who don't know or care about politics and they just want to see a woman P or VP.)

    2) She's the governor of Alaska (so they'll probably get quite a few votes from Alaskans.)

    3) And she is pro-life (which, believe it or not, a lot of people are.)
