No.  The arabs provoked a war, and they lost.  They should've left Israel alone in the first place.  If they'd left them alone in 1948 Israel would have half the land they have now, and little or none of Jerusalem.

No, because that would encourage other states to grab extra land by military conquest. Israel, without the United States and it`s hugely rich and influential Jewish lobby, would never have been able to survive let alone conquer territory.

Israel should make peace soon because the USA will not always be top dog and be at it`s beck and call.
