  1. To a certain extent, yes I do. Having 1st graders looking at playboy isn't the greatest idea. Neither is having 5th graders read books that are on a high school level (as in more...mature content. s*x, drugs, all that.) Then again, not allowing Harry Potter because someones mom thinks it promotes Witchcraft/is harmful to her families religion sounds like a bunch of bullocks to me.

  2. The Bill Of Rights ensures the citizens of this great democray that we may read what we want. The foundation of the libraries is to provide books, periiodicals etc. to the public. What one part of public may object to is what another part of the public may not object to. We must remember that our readers come from 360 degrees, that is as many different points of view on any subject. Now in the age on new breaking events, elections this has become more incubent on us to provide this freedom to read as well to what we may view. This is a very complex society where everyone viewpoint is cherished.

  3. Since the word "censorship" can mean such a broad range of thins, the only correct answer is YES.  I do not want Hustler magazines in elementary school libraries - that's censorship.  Of course, the range of censorship must be apropriate for the library in queation.  Prison libraries should not have certain "how to" books.  College libraries shuld have the least amount of censorship, as should college campuses - so it is surprising to see the great amount of censorship to conservative voices and opinions currently on our American public college campuses. (like Temple University)
